Overview
Section titled “Overview”This page introduces the accounts used by students, faculty, and staff of the Faculty and Graduate School.

Account Types
Section titled “Account Types”Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences students use the following accounts:
- Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences Account
- Campus-wide Network System Integrated Authentication ID
- CIS Moodle account (faculty-managed)
This table shows their main uses and administrators.

With your Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences Account, you can use CIS User Tools to:
- Change your Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences Account password
- Reset your Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences Account password
- Set the forwarding address for your Lifelong Mail Address
Choosing a Password
Section titled “Choosing a Password”Here are some points to keep in mind when setting a password.
- Good passwords
- Combine at least three of the four character types: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, symbols, and numbers
- At least 15 characters long
- Something you can remember without writing down, or managed with a password manager
- Bad passwords
- Words found in a dictionary
- Proper nouns such as names
- Monotonous repetition such as “aaaa”
- Made up of only letters or only numbers
- Easily guessed from personal information (such as a date of birth)
- Something you cannot remember without writing down

Changing and Resetting Passwords
Section titled “Changing and Resetting Passwords”This section explains how to change your account password, as well as how to reset and set a new password if you have forgotten it.
Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences Account
Section titled “Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences Account”You can change or reset your Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences Account password from CIS User Tools. For details, see the CIS User Tools page.
Integrated Authentication ID
